Cancer Care

Pediatric cancer care at Tulane Lakeside Hospital for Women and Children is a comprehensive program that addresses both the medical and emotional needs of children with cancer and hematologic disorders such as sickle cell disease. Our inter-disciplinary physician team includes Board Certified pediatric hematologists/oncologists, along with a team of surgeons, radiologists, neuroradiologists, neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, orthopedists, urologists, otolaryngologists, and ophthalmologists. In addition, our nurses work closely with social workers, child life specialists, and pain relief specialists to help both the patient and family manage and cope with diagnosis and treatment.
