We understand any time you are in the hospital it can be an emotional and trying time. The Patient Relations Department is here to help. Patient Relations serves as a liaison between the patient / patient family member and the hospital and clinical staff. Our goal is to provide you with information and assistance you need to make your stay with us an enjoyable one.

Visiting Hours

Family and friends provide an integral part in the health and well-being of patients. That's why Tulane Lakeside Hospital for Women and Children encourages the presence and participation of visitors in our patients' care. They are valued partners in our care team.

Open, Flexible Visiting Hours
Tulane Lakeside Hospital for Women and Children has open visiting hours – visitors are welcome 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a few exceptions.

We strive to balance open visitation with our patients' needs for a quiet, restful and safe environment. For the well-being of our patients, there may be times when we need to temporarily limit visitation, and when these situations occur, we will fully inform patients and their loved ones. The Patient Relations department provides a multitude of services and information. Please explore the information below to see how we can assist you.

Lakeside Campus
1st Floor Hospital Cafeteria

The Chapel is located on the first floor next to outpatient surgery and is open to patients and visitors for prayer and meditation. Communion is available 7 days a week from 8-11am.

Should you desire spiritual counsel, patient relations can assist you with contacting your local clergyperson or make arrangements for clergy if you are from out of town. Patient Relations can be reached at (504) 780-6507.

Our dedicated staff works diligently to provide you with the best care possible. If there were any staff members you encountered during your stay with us that made your experience easier or more pleasant, we'd love to hear about it.

Please note: Flower/Plant Delivery is not permitted in our Intensive Care units. We encourage you to check with the nursing staff prior to sending or bringing flowers.

Breakfast - 7 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Lunch - 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Located on the 1st floor of the hospital, the Gift Shop provides coffee, magazines, snacks, gifts, flowers etc. Open M-Th 8:30 a.m. – 8 p.m., F 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Lakeside - Wireless broadband service is available in the hospital. To access:

Start with your Wi-Fi enabled device turned off.
Turn your device on and ensure that is is connected to the "Guest_Access" SSID/Network Name.
Launch your web browser. You should see the "Guest_Access" Welcome Page
Select your connection option see the "Guest_Access" Welcome Page.

Interpreters are available for virtually all languages including American Sign Language. Please contact patient relations at (504) 780-6507 to make arrangements for interpretation services M-F 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; after hours and weekends, contact the hospital operator and request the patient relations team member on-call.

For the Hearing Impaired – TDDY devices are available for patient use. Please contact or request the nurse to contact patient relations for delivery of TDDY devices.

Parking is free in the garage and lots.

If at any time during your stay you have a concern or a problem, please notify your nurse or the Patient Relations Department.

Our goal is to provide excellent care and to respond, in a timely manner, to concerns and issues brought to our attention. Your comments give us valuable information that we use to improve the quality of service that we provide to our patients.

You can reach the Patient Relations department Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at (504) 780-6507. After hours, please contact the Nursing Supervisor on duty. Hearing impaired patients should call using the Louisiana Relay at (800) 947-5277.
